We have decided to act upon some of this feedback and launch a further Cryonics and Insurance Survey. The responses we received were very upbeat about 95% of Cryonics membership agreements being funded by Life Assurance polices that were placed into trust to either Alcor Life Extension Foundation or The Cryonics Institute.

Is there any indication as to the amount of insurance people have in place?
This seems to be a very important issue that interests a great number of both new and existing Cryonicists, so we have decided to respond and are already starting collating data assessing the “Average Sum Assured” for Cryonics members.
We already hold a great amount of data about the amounts of Insurance taken by our own existing clients and plan to collate these figures very soon.
However, would like to ask the assistance of any long standing Cryonics members in the UK and anyone who has taken insurance independently from Unusual Risks. We would like to ask them to anonymously e-mail us the answers to these two very simple questions. enquiries@unusualrisks.co.uk
1) Which Cryonics Organisation are you a member of Alcor, Cryonics Institute or Kriorus?
2) What is the total amount of Life Insurance that you currently have in place to fund your Cryonics agreement?
Similar to our previous Cryonics and Insurance survey we plan to include any responses in our survey results to make certain that the sample is as realistic as possible. We look forward to publishing the results very soon, along with some new and exciting case examples.
